Lies Young Women Believe | What Are You Waiting For?
I have nothing to add.......just ask that you read the blog
I was inspired..........and then I lost it!
Ever have one of those OVERWHELMINGLY creative moments? You know the ones. You see a cloud in the sky, a feather on the ground, or a smudge on your child's once clean face.............and WHAM!!! You are struck with inspiration! However, in the moment the inspiration hits you, you are ABSOLUTELY nowhere you can act upon that inspiration.
You frantically try every Jedi mind trick you know to not lose that inspiration......you start talking to yourself, scramble for a pen or pencil and any scrap of paper you can find, and then when you finally get something.....it's gone.............
*>POOF<*
Just like that.........
It came...........
And it went..........................
I wonder how many inventors lost their "fluggle-binders" that way.....

What do you savour?
God moves us through seasons in our life. People we love come and go. Relationships we once relied on become past relationships we think of but don't participate in. New people cross our paths and become woven in the tapestry that is continually growing and forming the fabric of ourselves. But through it all, the Lord remains constant. In that constance, do we really stop to savour this lasting relationship? Or does the hustle and bustle of our everyday life draw our eyes away from the great I AM?
Let's think about this for a moment. What does savour mean? Well, let's consult the ever popular dictionary.com, shall we?
The best definition for my purpose today is this: Savour - v. to give oneself to the enjoyment of: to savor the best in life.
Doesn't that make you stop and think? God has given us everlasting life in the gift of his son, Jesus Christ. Yet, do we give ourselves the time to savour in the enjoyment of that gift?
When I think of something I savour, I think of taking time to enjoy something - to the fullest, not missing one little moment, taste, feel. I linger in those moments, breathing deeply and allowing all of my senses to be stimulated and excited. The silky smooth feeling of a cashmere throw; the cool, refreshing taste of a freshly made lemonade on a hot and steamy summer afternoon; the smell of a newborn baby, quietly sleeping on your chest; the comfort of holding the one you love closely after a long separation.................these are all things we savour.
What do you savour? What feelings do you conjure when you think of that moment, person, thing? Does your relationship with the Lord bring those feelings? Why or Why Not?
Consider today: What stops you from savouring the enjoyment of your relationship with the Lord? What can you do to realign yourself to Him and place Him first in your life - enriching your relationship to become something you savour?
Prayer: Lord, draw me close to you. Give me eyes to see and ears to hear the wonders of Your love in all facets of my life today. Let me give You the glory and the honour today and every day by giving You the first fruits of my day - upon waking, before my eyes open, let the praises of Your name be flowing from me. And upon resting, let Your name be the last on my lips and Your praises be in my heart. Help me choose wisely and be a good steward of the time You have given me, that my moments with You be substantial and substantive - times to be savored and not hurried; giving You praise, and glory, and honour. Forever and ever. Amen.
